Minutes of Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2023
The meeting was called to order by Trustee Wilfred J. Perreault at 7:00 p.m. on May 9, 2023 at Lombard Village Hall, Community Room, Lombard, Illinois.
A notice of the meeting and the Agenda of the meeting was posted on the website and posted at both Fire Stations and the Lombard Village Hall at least 48 hours before the meeting as required by the Open Meeting Act. Attorney Hess reported that there was a quorum for the meeting.
Whereupon, the board considered approval of the May 9, 2023 meeting agenda. Trustee Perreault moved to approve the agenda. Second by Trustee Majcen. Motion carried unanimously.
Members Present: Wilfred J. Perreault, Trustee, Joseph F. Gribauskas, Jr., Trustee and Dawn Majcen, Trustee were present.
Member Absent: None.
Others in Attendance: Fire Chief Richard Sander of the Lombard Fire Department; Jim Hess of Tressler LLP.
Whereupon, the board considered the election of officers for the yearly term. Trustee Gribauskas made a motion to nominate Trustee Perreault as President. Second by Trustee Majcen. Motion passed unanimously. Trustee Perreault nominated Trustee Gribauskas as Secretary. Second by Trustee Majcen. Motion carried unanimously. Trustee Gribausaks nominated Trustee Majcen as Treasurer. Second by Trustee Perreault. Motion carried unanimously.
Whereupon, there was discussion about the Approval of Minutes from the October 4. 2022 Meeting, where Trustee Majcen pointed out the incorrect meeting date in the footer of the draft minutes that was noted by Trustee Gribauskas and Attorney Hess, and direction was given to correct the scrivener’s errors. Trustee Perreault motioned to approve the minutes subject to the noted corrections. Second by Trustee Majcen. Motion carried unanimously.
Whereupon, Trustee Majcen and Attorney Hess presented the 2022 Treasurer’s Financial Report. No public comments were made. Trustee Perreault motioned to approve the 2022 Treasurer’s Financial Report. Second by Trustee Gribauskas. Motion carried unanimously.
Whereupon, the Board members discussed future consideration of adjusting trustee compensation. No formal action was taken.
Whereupon, Chief Sander indicated there were no significant events since the last meeting to report on.
Whereupon, Attorney Hess indicated there was no formal legal report.
Whereupon, opportunity for Public Comment was held, with no comments being made.
Whereupon, the board members determined the tentative date and time of the next meeting to be September 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Lombard Village Hall.
Whereupon, Trustee Perreault moved and Trustee Majcen seconded a motion to adjourn at 7:22 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
